This film was produced by Richard Hardy for his final year Masters in Architecture! The film explores the idea of a technological singularity and is an attempt at envisioning such a future from an optimistic viewpoint. The Transcendent City is an autonomous artificial machine that extends across the earth adapting to the natural eco-systems it encounters while deriving its energy from the renewable resources available at each particular site. Every element within the film was drawn by hand, digitally rendered in photoshop and then finally animated within after effects. Just stunning
