There are lots of people making this same arguement who all seem to forget that written language in itself has “ruined brain”. How many people can recite the Iliad from memory now days?
I’m not saying it’s not a problem but remember “technology is an extension of the body” and by that same token, each extension is an amputation. We’re evolving, maybe not that much at a biological level but certainly at a social one.
It doesn’t make clear if the reduction in white matter applies only to depressed users or general heavy internet users.
