Stumbled as well. You have to love how something that has been famous as a Sunday comic for so long can be so deep. It’s a comic that makes you think as well as remember the goods times of when you were a kid and your only friend was a favorite stuffed animal that you took everywhere. I still have mine, and I’m 22
whoa stumbled upon this also from Pennsylvania. I also share the amazement of had never previously seen this. Where o where did you find this?
But on to my thoughts, as far as I know only the facts are reality. Memories can be muddled or clouded by feelings, so much so that the mind can make/replace events to make them more to your personal needs or wants. Heck we could could be in a society where memories are implanted over night and changed to see how a person would react. More on the thought in the movie Dark City, check it out.
Stumbled from Barranquilla, Colombia. I’m a huge fan of Calvin & Hobbes and honestly I’ve never seen this strip before… and yeah, distant memories are kind of surreal until you have a flash of you as a 4 yr old running in your undies in the patio with food in your head… LOL
Bill Watterson is a genius. This strip is a great example of his ability to go into deep subject matter while keeping it funny and light.
And hooray for Stumble! Much love fellow stumblers!
Stumbled from Canada, and my roommate and i love calvin and hobbs. we plastered our room walls with all sorts of comics it makes our day when we wake up surrounded by calvin and hobbs!
I have seen this before, because I’m a true C&H fan. The reason most of you don’t remember seeing it is because it’s not that funny. You read it and immediately went on to the next strip. You don’t typically remember the mediocre strips when you’re reading compilations.
Wow. One I actually haven’t seen. Can anyone tell me which compilation this is in?
Also, Hell yeah stumble.
Yeah, this is true.
