When segregation was normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And today?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Billionaires hoarding wealth while millions can\u2019t afford rent?<\/strong> Normal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Corporations tracking your every move online?<\/strong> Normal.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A planet on fire while politicians stall?<\/strong> Normal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Not because these things <em>should<\/em> be normal\u2014but because we\u2019ve gotten used to them. And that, right there, is the most dangerous thing of all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How the Unacceptable Becomes \u201cJust the Way Things Are\u201d<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s the thing about human beings\u2014we adapt. Fast. It\u2019s what\u2019s helped us survive for thousands of years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But there\u2019s a dark side to that adaptability: <strong>We stop seeing the problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When the first mass surveillance programs were revealed, people were outraged. Now? We let our phones, smart TVs, and social media apps listen to us 24\/7, and we just call it \u201cconvenience.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There was a time when billionaires were seen as a failure of the system. Now? We watch them fly to space while workers can\u2019t afford healthcare and call it \u201cprogress.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We used to fight for higher wages. Now? We glamorize <em>overworking<\/em> as \u201chustle culture.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Little by little, what once felt outrageous becomes <em>background noise<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And before we know it, we\u2019re not just accepting the unacceptable\u2014we\u2019re <em>defending it.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Boiling Frog Effect: How We\u2019re Being Conditioned to Accept More<\/strong> More and More<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you drop a frog into boiling water, it jumps out. But if you heat the water slowly? It won\u2019t even notice it\u2019s being cooked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Privacy?<\/strong> We lost it years ago, but because it happened slowly\u2014one Terms &amp; Conditions agreement at a time\u2014we barely noticed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Economic inequality?<\/strong> Wages have stagnated for decades while the cost of living skyrockets, but because it happened step by step, we call it &#8220;inflation&#8221; instead of what it really is: exploitation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The climate crisis?<\/strong> We\u2019re watching disasters unfold in real time, but we\u2019ve seen so many wildfires, hurricanes, and heatwaves that we barely react anymore.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The water is boiling. And we\u2019re still sitting in the pot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why Do We Let This Happen?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Because normalization is <em>easier<\/em> than resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It\u2019s easier to believe things <em>have<\/em> to be this way. That the system is too big to fight. That things will \u201cwork themselves out.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And let\u2019s be honest\u2014powerful people <strong>want<\/strong> us to think that way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the moment we stop being shocked, they win. The moment we stop demanding better, they get away with it. The moment we accept \u201cthis is just how the world works,\u201d the game is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Breaking the Cycle: How We Snap Out of It<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The good news? We\u2019ve done it before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Slavery was once normal. People ended it.<\/strong><br \/><strong>Women being second-class citizens was once normal. People changed it.<\/strong><br \/><strong>Factory workers being treated like disposable machines was once normal. People fought back.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What\u2019s normal today doesn\u2019t have to be normal tomorrow.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, what do we do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Stay Angry.<\/strong> If something feels wrong, it <em>is<\/em> wrong. Don\u2019t let repetition numb you. Stay loud. Stay questioning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Call It Out.<\/strong> When someone says, \u201cThat\u2019s just how things are,\u201d challenge them. Change only happens when people refuse to accept the status quo.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Stop Playing Their Game.<\/strong> Politicians and corporations <em>want<\/em> you to move on, to forget, to get distracted. Don\u2019t. Keep receipts. Hold people accountable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Remember: Normal Isn\u2019t Always Right.<\/strong> The biggest lie we\u2019re told is that we have to accept the world <em>as it is.<\/em> We don\u2019t. We never have.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Real Question: What Are We About to Normalize Next?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Think about it. Ten years from now, what will we look back on with disbelief?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Will we have accepted total surveillance as \u201cjust the way things are\u201d?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Will billionaires have even more control over our governments while we fight over scraps?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Will we have watched the planet deteriorate further while calling it &#8220;inevitable&#8221;?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Or will we be the ones who said <em>enough<\/em>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because here\u2019s the truth: Nothing changes until people <em>demand<\/em> it. The moment we stop questioning, the moment we stop resisting, the moment we stop caring\u2014that\u2019s when we lose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The world doesn\u2019t just happen to us.
