People bought Coca-Cola for the dream. Marlboro for the cowboy. Mercedes for the badge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That religion is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/go.euromonitor.com\/report-trending-topics.html?utm_source=outbound_general_prospects&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=trending-topics&amp;utm_content=CTA\">Euromonitor\u2019s <strong>Trending Topics 2026<\/strong> <\/a>makes it plain: despite household incomes crawling upward at just <strong>0.4% a year since 2021<\/strong>, consumers don\u2019t judge by price alone. They demand health, convenience, sustainability, digital ease. If you can\u2019t deliver, you\u2019re irrelevant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>71% of consumers worry about the rising cost of everyday items<\/strong>. But they aren\u2019t clinging to legacy labels. They are defecting to private label. Cooking ingredients, staple foods, dairy\u2014once the strongholds of heritage brands\u2014are now being stripped bare by discounters and warehouse clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And then come the insurgents: Temu. TikTok. SHEIN. They don\u2019t sell myths. They sell speed, affordability, and relevance. And they are winning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report names the shift: <em>brand loyalty is weakening<\/em>. Loyalty isn\u2019t earned. It\u2019s rented, renewed only as long as the offer makes sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners already know this. InterContinental Hotels sells NOMO solo-stay packages with wellness perks. SAIC\u2019s MG4 EV became a European bestseller by combining affordability with advanced features. They didn\u2019t trade on heritage. They traded on delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So stop polishing your history.
