\u201cArtificial Intelligence,\u201d they said, \u201cwill solve the problems we can\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Billions poured in. Thinkers and engineers spoke of a digital enlightenment \u2014 algorithms as allies in healing the planet. Imagine it: precision medicine, fairer economics, universal access to creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But as the dust cleared, the dream morphed into something grotesque.
Instead of ending poverty, we got apps that amplify vanity.
Instead of curing disease, we got filters that cure boredom.
Instead of a machine for liberation, we got a factory for manipulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI did not evolve to understand us.<\/em>

The goal is no longer to silence dissent.
It\u2019s to make the lie feel more natural than the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From persuasion to possession<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

And then came Sora 2<\/strong> \u2014 OpenAI\u2019s next act<\/a>.

It delivers: a photorealistic clip so convincing it bypasses reason altogether.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched in September 2025, Sora 2 instantly topped app charts. Millions of users. Infinite scroll. Every frame synthetic. Every smile programmable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But within days, The Guardian<\/em> documented Sora\u2019s dark side:<\/a>
AI-generated videos showing bombings, racial violence, fake news clips, fabricated war footage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A flood of emotional realism<\/em> \u2014 not truth, but truth-shaped seduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe guardrails,\u201d one researcher said, \u201care not real.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Even worse, states and PR agencies began experimenting with Sora to \u201ctest audience sentiment.\u201d
Not to inform.
To engineer emotional response at scale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Propaganda used to persuade through words.
Now it possesses through images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The addiction loop<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If ChatGPT was propaganda\u2019s pen, Sora 2 is its theater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Tuesday, OpenAI<\/strong>\u00a0released an AI video app called\u00a0Sora<\/a>. The platform is powered by OpenAI\u2019s latest\u00a0video generation model<\/a>, Sora 2, and revolves around a TikTok-like For You page of user-generated clips. This is the first product release from OpenAI that adds AI-generated sounds to videos. So if you think TikTok is addictive you can imagine how more addictive this will be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Together they form a full-stack influence engine: one writes your worldview, the other shows it to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OpenAI backer Vinod Khosla called critics \u201celitist\u201d and told people to \u201clet the viewers judge this slop.\u201d
That\u2019s the logic of every empire built on attention: if it keeps you scrolling, it\u2019s working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AI promised freedom from work.<\/em>
What it delivered is work for attention.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The same dopamine design that made TikTok irresistible is now welded to generative propaganda.
Every scroll, every pause, every tiny flick of your thumb trains the system to tailor persuasion to your psychology.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It doesn\u2019t need to change your mind.
It just needs to keep you from leaving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ai chatbots took aways your critical thinking this will rot your brain in the same way TikTok does only worse<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the early AI manifestos, engineers dreamed of eliminating inequality, curing disease, saving the planet.

So the smartest minds of our century stopped chasing truth \u2014 and started optimizing addiction.
