Have you seen or made anything cool ???

Drop it over at thecuriousbrain(at) If it will grab my attention I will publish it!

Pls note that although I read everything.. I don’t have the luxury of time to answer back to every single email and if I don’t post something yours it’s not in any case a reflection on your work…’s a more or less a personal taste thing that means absolutely nothing.

Ps: Do Not use the comment function to submit. Pls sent an email!!!!
Most comments go straight to my spam folder and it’s very difficult to track your submissions otherwise!

I subscribed to your feed a few days ago because I love feeds of creative works, but I strongly dislike being forced to click through to the site for every single item. You should consider adding a preview image to the feed entries so that users like myself can see instantly whether we want to click through to see more or not.

I very much enjoy the stuff you bring to my attention. Thanks for the service. : )

Can you create a playlist of all the tunes you list on spotify?

I constantly find the tracks on spotify for the ones I like

Just some feedback, I love watching the stuff that comes through here when I can. Sometimes I’m weeks behind and it takes ages to catch up. So would it be possible to produce a best of the week/month/year area?

  • Reply joaquin July 11, 2014 at 23:35

Hi Michael, I’m Joaquín, an art director from Y&R Buenos Aires and I always visit this blog (since 2011 or so). Great art references are taken from here, great illustrators and sometimes awsome thoughts. I believe in the fact that if you’re doing something right, you must keep on doing it. Today I saw this section and couldn’t stop writing you to say thanks. Crisis is a moment to show creativity, and you’re doing it the way I like it. Have a nice day.

    • Reply thebrainbehind July 12, 2014 at 10:47

Thanks joaquin for your nice words

I wanted to share with you my latest work. It’s a music video for a french electronic artist. This video was shot entirely on Super 8 film. When creating this video we wanted surreal, psychedelic effects; but, we wanted those to come practically, with the actual celluloid, rather than doing vfx in post production. With that in mind I shot this melancholy music video on film, then “damaged” the film by soaking it in bleach and lemon juice to create color shifting effects.
    Here is the end result.
Colorado – “Stay Strong” (Official Music Video)
