  2. March 11, 2010

  3. March 11, 2010

    words to live by!

    Wow- so true 😀
    will remember this

  6. March 11, 2010

Dumbest thing ever, how can you say “words to live by”? Come on now, how are these words to live by? Are you gonna wait around for the future for your whole life? Shut up.

  7. March 12, 2010

ur stupid. this quote is saying not to wat around because if u do the future get shorter and shorter. think before you speak jordan

  8. March 13, 2010

    Jordan,

    Think of it like this:

Each moment spent waiting for the future is a moment less of the future you have to spend.

I love how Jordan says the quote is stupid because you shouldn’t wait around for the future forever, yet that’s totally the point of the quote. Just throwing it out there.

It paraphrases: “A good plan today, is better than a perfect plan tomorrow”.
If you invest your present for a better future, then you might get that grand future, but will it be long enough to justify the loss of present time?
    LIVE NOW!

  11. March 15, 2010

Its still a pretty silly qoute. No one waits for the future… You may wait for things to happen in the future but you can’t wait for the future, there is no such thing. You live in the present, for the present. I think a more apt way of putting this is; “If you sit around and wait for things to happen, you’ll die without ever doing anything. Except sitting …” Not as eloqouent but it makes more sense 🙂

  12. March 15, 2010

    duh !

  13. May 5, 2010

OMG!! This quote is so inspirational! I think I’m going to surf the web for the next eight hours to find other inspirational quotes that tell me how to live life!!

  14. May 9, 2010

    i like this a lot.

i’m in a relationship where i am completely unhappy and i know she is also…but neither of us end it…

if i wait til for the future…assuming it will get better and we’ll be happy.

then i lose all of this present time that i could have been happy, not knowing if there will even be a future….

    fml.

i like this quote tho. makes me want to do what i know i want to do. NOW.

  15. May 9, 2010

I don’t think you can argue with this idea.

  17. May 23, 2010

This is why relying on the concept of time will fuck up your life.

  18. May 23, 2010

    gives me chills.

  19. May 24, 2010

The future is whizzing by every second. It is called now and soon will be the past. The only reason to try to look into the future, if you can, is to see forks in the road and then prepare for them the best you can. Life is nothing but a bunch of forks in the road. Some forks are dramatic and eventful while most are rather mundane. Your mom woke up one morning, for example, and decided not to abort you. Lucky you. You made it through the first fork in your road through life alive.

How true every minute counts. Who knows what may happen tomorrow. I dream for wonderful things in the future, but I live for today.

  21. July 5, 2010

    hey i dont like that…

Not one of my faves but gets the thought process going. Future is uncertain and if spend our time just waiting for it, we may miss out on the beauty of the present. All we can do is live in the present, plan for the future and the rest will take care of itself.
