While mourning the loss of a loved one, a young boy takes on the scariest slide at the water park in Uri Lotan’s short film “Black Slide.”

In a short film by Amanda Forbis and Wendy Tilby, two ships collide in a harbor, sending a passing sailor skyward as he contemplates the wonder and fragility of existence. “The Flying Sailor” is nominated for Best Animated Short at the 2023 Academy Awards.
