yeah i never understood it either. i mean isnt christmas supposed to be the exact opposite of that? i would imagine that you would have to be a pretty sad, bitter person to actually say something like that about CHRISTMAS of all things. i could never imagine myself saying something like “ugh, i hate christmas. with all the people always acting happy, warm and joyful all the time, i HATE people being happy!”
